While working with customers, we’re constantly learning about their needs and managing inquiries that arise. As a result, we’ve included a list of frequently asked questions along with answers in order to provide additional support. If your question isn’t addressed below, get in touch with us and we’ll provide the information you need.

WHEN IS THIS BUSINESS AVAILABLE TO ANSWER CALLS AND/OR PROCESS APPOINTMENT REQUESTS?

Our availability to answer booking inquiries and/or process appointment requests is Mondays to Saturdays from 7AM to 4PM. We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

WHAT TIME IS AVAILABLE FOR VISITATION? WHAT TIME DOES THE TOUR BEGIN? WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THIS EXCURSION?

The times available for visitation are 9:30am, 12:30pm and the tour commences 30 minutes after the arrival time. The tour is expected to last for 1 hour and 30 minutes as the grace period of 30 minutes is included in the duration of this excursion.

WHEN ARE TOURS CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN?

Unfortunately, bad conditions make the access road difficult for vehicles, making it impossible for us to conduct a tour. The health of our animals is a priority and colder, rainy conditions are totally unsuitable for our piglets. We always try our best to accommodate guests but we do urge you to book with us at the beginning of your trip in case the weather ever prevents us from conducting the tour. Doing such allows us time to reschedule your appointment and make your experience as enjoyable as possible.

IS TRANSPORTATION INCLUDED? IF TRANSPORTATION IS NOT INCLUDED, WHAT ARE THE ESTIMATED TAXI FEES?

No, we do not offer transportation to / from our location but taxi recommendations are presented on this website on the "Taxi Recommendations" section. Taxi fees may vary from $30.00 - $70.00 USD per person or $100.00 USD round trip. Please note we are very unsure of what the actual fees are.

ARE GUESTS ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES?

Of course! We wish for guests to capture as many images as possible, especially with the beautiful background.

HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?

An appointment request is sent online and it is added to our Booking Calendar. According to our availability, your appointment request may be accepted (if we are available for the date and time requested) or rescheduled to your next alternative visitation date. A BOOKING REQUEST IS NOT AN APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION!

 

If you have sent a last minute booking request (the night before or the morning of your desired date), we would advise you to call before journeying to our location as we may unable to accommodate your booking because we are closed or booked for that day.

 

If you have reviewed our calendar and you are unable to book a date that we are open, we would advise you click the "Appointment Inquiries" button on our "Book Online" section so you may inquire about your desired date and time via WhatsApp.

HOW FAR IS THIS BUSINESS FROM THE CRUISE PORT IN ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA?

If you are journeying from St. John’s City, Google Maps estimates the distance to Valley Road as 22-26 minutes, depending on your route. Additionally, you must travel on a dirt road to actually arrive at Seaforth Beach and you MUST utilize the location guides provided on the website.

WHAT INTERACTION WILL I/WE HAVE WITH THE PIGGIES?

The Pig Family consists of small and medium sized pigs who are excited about your visit. These piggies are hand raised and fed with milk in baby bottles. They have expressed their displeasure with sudden movements and loud noises and because of such, we politely ask that guests desist from doing so. During your visitation at Pigs in Paradise, we encourage guests to interact with the pigs by: swimming and feeding them with baby bottles, holding the pigs, learning their names, doing pig tricks and participating in the Piggy Quiz at the end of the tour, as it is an educational excursion.

IF I PRE-BOOKED A BOOKING REQUEST ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE OF MY DESIRED VISITATION DATE AND TIME, WHEN SHOULD I RECEIVE AN APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION AND INVOICE?

Our calendar for the next month will be released between the 15th-20th of the previous month. Once a PayPal deposit is received upon your invoice, your appointment will be accepted / rescheduled, in accordance with our availability. Failure to pay this invoice means there is no appointment / reservation for your booking. We do not offer availability until the calendar is released. 

CAN I/WE JUST SHOW UP AT THE BEACH WITHOUT SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT?

No, it is absolutely necessary to pre-book an appointment to visit this excursion due to limited availability and our fluctuating tour schedule.

WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDATIONS WHEN VISITING?

You should be attired in your swimwear and young children should be accompanied by an adult and attired in their safety swimming gear (i.e. floaties). Other beach essentials are towel, sunscreen, phone / camera and change of clothes. We DO NOT recommend journeying with food because the piggies will get to it before you (eat it for you).
